General Information<\/div>

Anesthesia Consultation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Minimum 48h before the surgery.  Please bring the documents: insurance, the actual treatment, allergies, previous surgeries . medecines, and all informations being important. The duration of stay will be :2 days before the surgery minimum, around 2 days in the hospital depending the gravity of your case. And, you should try to stay 1 week after the operation, to be able to rest and perform some physiotherapy.<\/p>\n

As soon the surgery planed, you should sign :<\/p>\n

    The clinic and other medical staff will be paid separately, at the entrance.<\/p>\n

    • Don’t eat, drink or smoke before , drink or smoke 6 hours before the operation. Take the medicines prescribed by the anesthesist, do not take any aspirine!<\/li>\n
    • Remove any nail varnish. Remove the hair using a depilatory cream (You must not use a Razor) on the area(s) indicated by your surgeon.Take a Bétadine shower<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Personal Belonging Preparation on the Day Before Surgery <\/strong><\/h3>\n

        • Bring the required medical equipment and the one prescribed by your surgeon (crutches, support stocking, girdle, supports, …) Make sure you have enough loose clothes, shoes<\/li>\n
        • Bring your personal belongings: underwear, flannel, towels, clean pyjamas, shower gel, soap, hairbrush, toothpaste and toothbrush<\/li>\n
        • Medicine and prescription if you are currently taking a treatment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Day of Admission<\/strong><\/h3>\n
            \n
          • At your arrival, , the Admissions Office will  take care of you for the  paperwork .The  concierge will show you the room, and help you for your luggage.<\/li>\n
          • Then, the nurses will take care of you and check all the protocols. Before operation your surgeon and your anesthesiologist will visit you in your room. Then, you will be driven to the operating theater, and other nurses will control all the technical points.The surgery will take 2 to 5 hours, depending the severity of the cases.After the surgery, you will spent 2 hours in the recovery room.The family can stay in the room, or at the restaurant in the garden.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            After the Surgery<\/strong><\/h3>\n

            the day of departure: The prescriptions will be given to you, all the informations about the post operative care .The physiotherapy will be begin 3 days after the surgery, generally. The best would be to take an appointment before even your arrival. The secretary have a list of very good physiotherapist, depending where you are staying.<\/p>\n

              You will receive a copy of your bill. After your insurance has paid, we’ll provide
              \nyou with a monthly statement of your account.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

              How long will it take to get things settled with the insurance company?<\/div>
              \n

              Generally, it takes from 45 to 60 days to obtain payment from an insurance carrier.

              Why am I getting bills from physicians?<\/div>
              \n

              Each physician who provides professional services will send you a separate bill from his or her office. These physicians will include:<\/p>\n

              • your own physician<\/li>\n
              • other physicians who conducted tests and procedures<\/li>\n
              • consulting physicians chosen by your primary physician to read and interpret test results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                These physicians may include specialists in anesthesiology, cardiology, emergency medicine, nuclear medicine, pathology, radiology, or urodynamics. You will be responsible for paying these bills as well.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

                I received a notice that my insurance company has paid on my bill -- but I can't understand how they calculated their payment amount. Do you know?<\/div>
